I am a PMP since April 2009 (3rd Ed). I was involved in projects since 1998 but all knowledge I acquired was heuristic. The PMP certification was the way of consolidating a complete knowledge not only in the hardskills of Project Management but also in the sofskills, leadership, communication, negotiation, etc.. In 2011 I presented in PMI Madrid Chapter a study about "Turnaround in O&G industry: A case in La Pampilla refinery" and since 2016 I am a volunteer for Twitter. As a summary for me PMI is a straightforward source of knowledge and expertise very useful for my day-to-day.
