A word on PMI from SMEs , how did it serve you?

My experience with PMI goes back to 2000 when I've attained the PMP certification. Back then, I was one of the 15 PMP in Latin America and it certainly gave me of diferentiation against other people looking to stand out from the pack. Then I obtained the PgMP certification in 2008, Both certifications helped me to improve in my career but also gave me a lot opportunities to do volunteering within PMI either by reviewing exam questions or as a member of the Role Delineation study for PgMP. Or even later when I was part of the Panel review for the certification for PgMP.
