Before even we start to talk about the importance of Project Management
1. According to a recent article published by Forbes, in list of 15 top paying IT certifications in 2019, (PMP)® ranks second.
2. (PMP)® certification increased in value by 18.6%, jumping from a median salary of $114,473 in 2018 to $135,798 in 2019.
3. As per April 2019 statistics published by PMI, Total Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification holders are 914,401.

These numbers are astonishing and clearly speaks about the importance of PMP in your professional career. Some other important factors are:
1. Success Rate:
a. On average, about 40 percentage of projects are successful and around 20 percent fail across different industries. The success rate is tightly linked with the qualification of the project manager. Projects managed by PMP certified managers have more probability of completing the project on time, within budget and within scope.
2. Common Language
a. More than 90% of the time of a project manager is spend in communicating. The ability to speak common business language helps to ensure that stakeholders are on the same page.

At the end of the day, PMP is a huge value add which will make sure that right things are done at right time in right format.
