My association with PMI began as a Student Chapter Member in 1980. My career progressed quickly to include project management responsibilities and PMI has been a key resource contributing to my education and networking with other professionals.
PMI's contribution to the profession has grown a lot during my career. In my current position providing Project Management and PMO consulting, the Standard for Project Portfolio Management and OPM3 is the foundation for a Best in Class project portfolio management process that I developed for a client, significantly reducing the time and cost for the client to implement. The engagement was 28 weeks and without this standard the client engagement could have easily taken 1 year. This is one example of the impact that PMI has had for me personally and the clients that I serve.
I look to PMI as a cornerstone of the services that I provide to help clients improve their Organizational Project Management and to increase the success of their project execution.
