PPPM consultant, author Stakeholder-led Project Management, lecturer PM UCT, Chair of PMO SA Judging committee
I have been a project management consultant, lecturer, and coach for nearly thirty years.
Currently, I combine consultancy in project, portfolio and programme management with a visiting lecturer role at the University of Cape Town - lecturing on the MSc in project management.
I have always been fascinated by project management and one of my great joys has been my involvement in the Success Stories Shared initiative in South Africa. I have learned so much from listening to great project managers from around the world. This was the inspiration for three books in the project management areas of stakeholder engagement and planning.
I have presented at conferences across the world and am always open to invitations.
Over the last few years, I have been involved with several project office related groups and am currently the chair for the PMO South Africa awards committee. In 2018/19 I have also been involved with the PMO global awards as a judge.
I am passionate about the role of education in society and completed a Masters in Online and Distance Education a few years back. It has been a privilege to work with young people here in South Africa. I am currently a mentor for students from Tsiba and a volunteer tutor with Hout Bay Youth Development Agency.
